Re: Turkey Gun pics
Nice Chris! Of all the firearms I own, I like shotguns the most! As much as I've been tempted, I've only ever sent one shotgun out to a gunsmith for improvements but nothing like you've done! One question for you. Why the Versamax over something like a Benelli or Beretta?

Re: New awesome toy!
You just gotta love the ease of operation on those little guys!! I have a small Stihl with an 8 inch bar for trimming small limbs and brush. However at times a SAW is needed. A REAL saw!! Got this P-40 Pioneer back in the day. 1974 I believe. It's a BEAST. I actually haven't used t...

Re: Inserts/ Field Points
So far I'm batting 100 but I haven't had an insert come out for years. I locate them with welding wire to know where and how deep and then use some long Snapon needle nose

Re: Moon nocks
I am not contending that one is better than the other but please look at things with clarity. Almost every crossbow uses moon nocks with zero issues.
Chris, when the moon Lumenoks arrive, would you like me to send you one to test with?

Re: Kinda surprised at Excalibur
Ok, you are an engineer. Why is it that there are no SAE torque specs for aluminum. I can mention one and I'm sure there's many, there are too many variables. The riser, mainframe and trigger unit are all different alloys. My question to you is not rhetorical. I've often wondered. In my world, thre...

Re: Kinda surprised at Excalibur
You think you had issues about the lack of torque specs? Try being an auto mechanic who rebuilds transmissions, differentials, engines and repairs circuit boards! Not only that be we are going from steel into aluminum! Add to that there are atleast 3 differrnt types of aluminum that have threads in...

Re: Moon nocks
Further, and it so happens that I have a roughspot on my barrel somewhere. The moon nock show significantly more wear than the flat nock. To the extent that I had never noticed wear on the flat nocks before. But it was clearly evident on the moon nocks. So as expected the down pressure is increased...

Re: Moon nocks
Sure... NOW you post this after I just bought ten more FLAT Luminoks from you! Crafty Ol' Bugger! Interesting information alright. But I'll have to wear out around 3 dozen of the flat ones before I jump onboard methinks... Cheers, Nog Matt, I forgot, I will be ordering more flat Lumenoks when...

Re: Illuminated Nocks
Lumenoks are my choice. They are crazy bright! The only read down side is that you need to pay attention to their installations. As simple as they are I thought I'd just do what made sense but operating them as intended is much better. Nothing is more simple to operate and install than the Lumenoks.
