I measured with my chrono a Vortex: with a 400 grains arrow the speed was 322 fps....that means 330+ fps using a 350 grains arrow. Same results with my Exocet200. So check your string quality and also your chronograph precision or its position respect light...it can changes also 5%. Best regards Mat...

2216 have a little bit better FOC and speed, 2219 have a little bit more energy and are al little bit stronger. For a Phoenix on my opinion the better is 2216.

The close they are to the tips and the slower will be the arrow (0.5 fps near the riser>>>15/20fps close the tips) but major the vibraction dumpening power. Your is the choice! :wink:

Don, if you remeber, we tried a small string with a bigger serving (two layers). Not advantages, because the major serving weight decreased the arrow speed. And the two hooks penetrated inside the two layers after some shoots. So I erased this solution. If this crown is so good as Sean tells, could ...

Sean probably using your serving on a Exomax FF string, you could shoot 200/250 arrows maximum. It is very different the wear between a Exomax and a Horton HD 175. When the arrow is cocked, your string sustains 87 lbs, and when you relase the string, it moves forward only for 14". The Exomax is...
