I've found brace height has some effect on point of impact, but not a huge amount. In shooting a 30 target 3-D course the ff flemish string I use (I keep the bow unstrung, so it will have a high brace height when first strung then settle in after 5 - 10 shots) it may change an inch or two at 40 yard...

How close is too close? - tree stand shots
Moved my 15' ladder stand yesterday because the deer (at least the shooters) are hitting the feeder in the morning hours. The wind is usually wrong from where I did have it located for morning hunting. The only suitable tree is located right behind the gamecam position (if you've seen any of the pic...

velvet is shed
This one showed up on the last roll of gamecam film. Looks like the velvet is shed already.

I unstring mine unless I'm shooting almost every day, and unstring if temperatures are very high (like over 75-80F) where I store it. In the summer I just target shoot without the DB pads, so I don't have to take them off each time I unstring. When Deer season gets here I will leave it strung with t...

I never saw any real need or had a big desire for carbons........... Until I tried them  Now I shoot nothing else! I've lost one, had one robin-hooded (Mark H. is a good shot!), and actualy broke one that deflected and hit a tree sideways. In the same length of time I would probably have gone t...

Gary L The .xlr you're talking about must be the invoice I tried to attach to the email. I think I stuck a hard copy in with the package, but that was yesterday and I do good to remember what I did today  Went squirrel hunting this morning, picked a couple bushels of wild grapes right afternoon...

O/T - "mini" predator call sale!
I’m dropping the “mini” calls from standard production as I’ve designed a new slightly larger call to replace them. These calls are about 2" in length, and I’m selling my existing inventory for only $9.95 for the first call, and any additional calls on the same shipment for only $7.49. Shipping...

To me the beauty of Excalibur is that they will meet or exceed the accuracy of any other crossbow out there, and they do it without wheels! A very simple to use and maintain crossbow, speeds to compete with any compound models, extremely rugged, and amazingly accurate. I've heard good reviews on Ten...
