Little fella

I got a 3 shot burst of this cute little fella yesterday. Seems kinda tiny to me......since Crazy names all his deer, I think I am going to call this one crock pot or biscuit.

Re: if you feed them - they will come

Wabi, I put mine out in the hunting woods yesterday, only problem is I can't remember if I switched to the on position on the Bushnell.....DUH. I remember looking at the picture counter in the middle position but not switching to the on position. That buck from last year sure has a swollen neck, the...

Re: Heat and white oak acorns

Thanks guys, that's encouraging news. Last years acorn crop was non-existent in my area. Lack of acorns and the most snow we have had in years took out a few of our deer.

Heat and white oak acorns

Our area in Virginia is about to be declared a drought zone due to the lack of rain for the last couple months. It has destroyed the area corn crops and the soy beans may be next. How will this drought affect the white oak acorns.

Re: Moultrie Pics

That's the first set of twin fawns I've seen in VA, the rest have been all singles. good... less crop damage:) I wouldn't worry about the deer this year CF, the sun has been much worse. Just seen in the paper today they are gonna declare our area a drought zone. They said like you did last week tha...

Re: Camera test #2 (night pics)

CF and I have officially changed our name from Team VA to Team Cuddeback. Really all we are trying to do is give everyone an honest look at 3 different cameras in hopes that it may save someone some time and hard earned money. If you disagree with what we have shared, it doesn't hurt my feelin...

Re: Camera test #2 (night pics)

[quote="wabi"]Rich, Could you clarify your comment that the Bushnell was slow on trigger speed in the first thread? [quote="Rich"] Wabi, What I based my comment on was the CB had 100% pictures (12 for 12), the Bushnell only had 3 pics of the dogs. I assumed it was due to trigger ...

Re: Canning---meat

Bob,

What kind of recipes do you use the canned meat in. Eatting it right out of the jar just doesn't sounds all that tasty.

Re: Camera test #2 (night pics)

Carvedtip, I also found the Cuddeback price a little high and never bought one due to that, however, I won a $50 Bass Pro gift card in the turkey contest, plus a $20 Bass Pro coupon and my military discount and got it for $109. Also picked up the Bushnell for $139 at Natchez Shooting Supplies. I wou...

Re: Camera test #2 (night pics)

And the crowd goes quite! I thought my 2 threads on game camera comparisons was a very imformative and helpful topic and would have received more comments than they did. It always amazes me how an off topic which has no hunting merit can get 5 pages of responses, but posts that have genuine hunting...

Re: Camera test #2 (night pics)

Rich: what model cuddeback is that? Chuck, The Cuddeback is a Capture with the regular flash. $199 at Bass Pro, as CF said in the other post it may be cheaper online. Just be careful of an online purchase, this is from the Cuddeback website: Warning to on-line buyers: We have received numerous comp...

Camera test #2 (night pics)

Got some night time pics to compare last night, you can judge for yourself. The 2nd series is my neighbor leaving and demonstrates trigger speed pretty good.
