Well since I only have about 10 days till bow season, I sprung for the Block Crossbow target, needed something for both field points and broadheads. I had the same problem with my compound and replaced the insert wih the foam used in florist shops, you can push them in as tight as you need.

Yes,,I got one,,the best, most stable stand I've ever used,,expensive but very well made and worth every penny. I've got the safety bar also,,wouldn't do without it,,works great as a gun rest for the crossbow. Climbs real fast also and is always level!!!
