Re: My NAA Indoor Nationals Results

Target distance is 18 meters, about a foot short of 20 yds. No magnification is allowed. I shoot compound peep. No slings, shooting coats, boots, gloves, etc. No electronic devices (lights, triggers, etc.). Velocity of my arrows is 221 fps. Hooked butts and palm rests allowed, with limitations. Arro...

My NAA Indoor Nationals Results

Well here are my results for the NAA Indoor National Championship with the crossbow. I was too tenative with moving my sights yesterday, and dropped 5 points. There was one guy 2 points ahead of me going into today. I knew I had to shoot a perfect 600 to have any chance to win. I had arrow number 28...

This weeks shooting results

Attached are pics of results from Tuesday nights FITA and tonights 5 Spot. It was a tough 2 nights to shoot for me, but I toughed it out best I could. Was COLD Tueday night, wood furnace didn't want to put out any heat. I dropped 4 points in the first 7 ends of the 300, but went clean after that. Th...

Tonights 5 Spot

Shot 5 Spot tonight. Was really work. Trigger didn't feel right, had trouble seeing, stomach felt queasy. Normally I shoot in the darkest lane, but due to 3 of our team members not showing, I got to shoot in one of the better lit lanes. Since I had sighted in on the dark lane, I needed a sight adjus...

Re: Getting the Hang of the FITA Thing

My local club shoots this at 20 yds, but officially would be shot at 18 meters, about 14" less. All standing, no magnification, 3 shots per end in 2 minutes each. Hand cocked only, no cocking devices.

Re: STS substitute?

The bracket is 1/8" X 3/4" aluminum bent 90*. The long leg that goes under the riser is 2", and the short leg for the pad is 1". Both have a 1/4" hole drilled centered near the end and radiused. A 1" elevator bolt is purchased from a good hardware store, along with 2 ny...

Getting the Hang of the FITA Thing

Here is my latest FITA score from tonight. I did shoot my first 300, with 24 inners. I wanted to take it down and put a new target up to finish the 450 but there wasn't time. There was lots of noise around the line tonight, and I didn't get my concentration up in time for shot 37. Looked good, stock...

Re: STS substitute?

Here is what I use, make them myself, really pretty easy and work VERY well. Have over 4,000 shots on my Vortex, and almost that many on my 5 week old Apex. I won't shoot without them. These are fully adjustable to boot. Cost is under $25.

Re: ANOTHER SNOW storm... greatt!!!!

We got 30" before it stopped. Drifts to 4 ft also. Now it goes down to 8 degrees F, freezes it all rock hard and immoveable! Ain't life grand? Didn't have school all last week, don't expect to have school all next week either. Another snow storm coming Tuesday, Wednesday. Even with no more snow...

I'm not sure, but I told her as she was captain, she should choose for me. I think there is a list of disabled vets to chose from. Pm her and find out.

Re: we won the CBnation hunting contest this year

Crazy, I'm really glad you're that happy about our win. Now aren't you glad I asked you to join us? This was a multi forum hunting contest sponsored by Hunting Brotherhood.com. Teams from forums all over the country joined in to post their hunting success, with a little competition. The winning team...

Yeah, it came. 12" on the ground, and only 4 degrees F this morning! Guess I need to move farther south.

Re: Understanding Carbon Arrows!

I have shot GT II's for hundreds of shots each, without problem. I understand the originals were a thinner shaft, and that may be what some here have used and experinced problem with. I still have the dozen I shot 3D with all last season, minus 3. One got Robin Hooded by another shooter, one I misse...
