I have a small string tied on mine and I tie it to the tree stand or hang it from a nail above my head if I own the tree. I think it just looks like some limbs and leafs to a deer. I only kill dumb deer anyway, you know the one that make so much noise they wake me up.

I like a thumbhole but I also shoot a pistol a lot. That maybe the difference in if you like the regular or thumbhole stock. I also use a removable sling that goes from foot bar and down threw the thumbhole.
