Re: Hunting Fatality hits home

Even with the best full body harness you can still be found dead hanging from the tree if you do not have an SRD (Suspension Relief Device).

Fortunately most of the better full body harness that are sold today incorporate the device.

Re: What a snake!

I would like to offer a different view then all the other posters regarding this subject. I never kill them, venomous or not. They serve a purpose, they help keep rodents in check. Just as wolves, coyotes, birds of prey and all other predators do. Some we kill because of reputation. I have no proble...

Re: O/T Old Posts[Fixed, sorry]

I remember that Irish Spring battle. That was really funny and thanks for posting those links awshucks. That picture on the magazine is a classic. I lost touch with Mike P after I went in the army. I was fortunate to meet him and his wife Annie for lunch at a country club about half an hour from whe...

I remembered Mike P telling about a boar nailing him so I did a search here and found the story. Pretty good read.

I tried unsuccessfully to load a larger picture, that is the best I could do.

Thanks for your comment.

Re: another little adams county buck

Wabi, i was emailed a few weeks back a picture of a couple of brothers from your neck of the woods (it said adams county ) with two tremendous bucks. I looked and cannot find it now so I must have canned it. The picture looked like it was from a newspaper if i remember. You got any knowledge of this...

Mike P Update

I played a round of golf yesterday with Mike P, Becker and Doc at Crystal Lake Country Club in Crystal Lake IL. I didnt belong on the same course with these guys..... they are really good and all of them have single digit handicaps if that means anything to you. Doc toasted everyone and lots of mone...

Re: ANTI - CROSSBOW TALK

The socialist republic of Illinois wrote the book on greed. All other greed should be compared to what takes place here regarding hunting. The criminal clowns called politicians in Chicago want to take every weapon away, guns, crossbows, bottle rockets and party favors. They took party favors off th...

I'm guessing he is gone. His avatar is no longer associated with his account. I think he got fed up with that messy business that happened a while back and said to hell with it. Add his name to the ever growing long list of veteran forum members that no longer post here. I don't see crazyfarmer arou...

Re: Moving to Michigan

Smart move Kelley! At least you are now going to a state that will allow you to use your crossbow. I do not believe IL will ever pass the bill to allow everyone, not just the disabled, use our crossbows. I also bet your tax situation will also look a lot better in MI then in IL. I would get the hell...

Re: Illinois allowing crossbows now?

Here is the staus of the bill. Typical Illinois BS politcs. It could languish in the Rules Committe forever! Having a rules committee in Illinois goverment is like having a cop in a whore house, it makes you think someone is going to get busted but in the end, you still just get screwed. Date Chambe...
