Re: Just had a visit from the MNR

Wish we had more of them here in eastern NC. People say we got em here in several counties but they are few, it would be nice to have something else to hunt and see in the woods.

Black eagle bolt / components

Anyone else had any problems with black eagle bolts or component problems? I have both black eagle executioners and zombie slayers. First noticed on a batch of bolts aluminum nock inserts or bolts varied pretty good in either the inside diameter of the bolts or outside diameter of nock inserts. Some...

Re: Tac 100 scope problem

Yeah duckhunt, that is about what I figured with a custom setup. It’s good for hunting but just wanted to push the scope to the limit and myself.

Re: Tac 100 scope problem

No xcalibur not trying to win a prize just trying to get the most I can out of the scope and trying to be as good a shot as I can be. No I won’t shoot at a deer past 60, too risky.

Tac 100 scope problem

I have a problem with getting my 355 micro sighted in just right. I have a tac 100 mounted on the bow. 20 -50 yds is driving tacks. At 60 yds is 2” high. Backed up to 80 yds and is around 8” high. What’s some thoughts because this has me scratching my head? Is it the scope dots not right or do I nee...

Re: Hawk Helium sticks over rated.

Hey longbow joe, like your idea of the knotless boat piece installed. I have never seen that set up before. I did do away with the strap/buckle method and gone with using 8mm static climbing rope and two half hitches. Works just as good as the strap just nothing to bang against when slinging the rop...

Re: Hawk Helium sticks over rated.

I have used quite a few different styles of climbing sticks over the years but these have to be the worst about pulling away from the tree. I’ve never had any problems with the lone wolf sticks in fact we had a set we used in Kansas with the hawk sticks and had it at a angle and it still grabbed goo...

Hawk Helium sticks over rated.

I just wanted to let everyone know to beware of the Hawk Helium climbing sticks. After hearing rave reviews of these i thought i would give them a try so i bought two sets for a Kansas hunting trip. My buddies also picked up two sets and i have to say they were not very good also it was the general ...

Re: Maintenance tips for crossbows

I have used remoil religiously for 40 years. It is fine stuff and the only thing I use on my guns and my Excalibur’s. I have seen WD 40 here in the south both draw moisture and be more corrosive than any other so called lubricant I’ve seen. Rem oil is the way to go bar none!

Hawke XB30 compact SR v/s Excalibur tac 100

Am trying to decide between the two scopes. Sounds like a lot of people like the Hawkes. I like the simplicity of the new Excalibur tac 100 scope but want to have good glass for practicing out too 100 yds. Don’t like that the most expensive Hawke XB pro isn’t illuminated out to 100yds. Am stuck betw...
