Greetings:
I own a Phoenix and I love it. Question: What is the down side of filling the stock with foam in order to make it a bit more quiet? Please advise.
PS Are there any major obstacles to removing the stock from a crossbow like the Phoenix?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Bowfishing
Wheelie this is Illinois. We are lucky (or unlucky) if we ever get enough ice to be safe on the water. I guess I could try dangling a hook over the side of my boat when I am Dryden next summer.

In response to bstout's challenge about old threads, new threads, your own threads, etc. I have a lot to learn, and I rely on forums like this to help. I find this form very difficult to use. Don't get me wrong, the individual people have been very helpful when I send them a PM. Information about a ...

I do not want to start a war of words about ethical shots, deer jumping the shot, etc. I hunt on the ground for the most part and the woods I hunt normally will not provide a shot in excess of 25 yards. Last year the two I shot were inside of 15 yards. However, does anyone know at what distance a 40...

I looked at my riser. It seems level with the rail so that is not the problem. Besides with the STS or similar system, the string can not possibly reach the riser edge. smokepolehall, my Phoenix shoots tight groups out to 50 yards so I am not sure my double center serving is causing any problem with...

Greetings: I need to jump in on this general subject. I am also fussing with my string too much in my opinion. Someone mentioned on one of the threads that the riser may be higher than the rail. If that is true what can be done to level those surfaces? I am shooting FFF strings with STS string prote...

Doe anyone know of someone that has experimented with some sort of solid material for the center serving? Perhaps one of the new shrink plastic products like they use for electrical connections or even some form of metal tubing. Just wondering. I can already tell that string/serving management is go...
