Re: The Definitive Answer

It looks just like one of mine also, but the guy did state,"It is not a case of a near robin hood as I have had it happen this afternoon with only shooting one arrow."

So he either shot one of his already nicked arrows or ----!

Re: Yote

I had my camera facing a crossing that revealed a fair number of deer tracks. The day after the coyote crossed, a total of 7 does crossed and they seemed skittish and sniffed the banks edge a great deal before exiting. The yote squatted and urinated just before exiting the creek and left plenty of s...

Re: Yote

Though it looks remote, there is a subdivision up the creek. Many have pets and a couple have chickens. Also if you will research the latest studies on deer predation by coyotes you will find they have an adverse effect on the fawn population. Not counting the fact there is a direct link between Lym...

Re: Hunting river bottoms

Are your sloughs big enough and connected enough to paddle a small canoe or kayak in? It is legal in my state to use a non-motorized boat to hunt from as long as its not a captive flood situation. It's a lot quieter than walking and we have killed some nice deer this way.

Re: Hunting river bottoms

Lots of sloughs where I hunt too. I look for good funnels, sometimes they use beaver dams as crossings. Just hunt the food and bottlenecks.

Nice shot on the doe. Sure was nice of that tree to stop your arrow. No telling where it might have wound up if it had kept going:-)

Re: Think I made a boo boo!

Congratulations! Hunt long enough and very interesting things do happen. I guess a double double lung shot would technically be called a quadruple lung shot? Enjoy the harvest.
