Re: Where are the "kids" crossbows
They go where the money is !! I watched a hunting show where they did a walmart hunting challenge. They went to a walmart bought a bow package cheap and ready to go then went out and hunted and shot a deer they were copying the fishing one where they show how cheap it is to get set up fishing. I tho...

Re: 440
The problem is there is a lot of push back now from some states on the new technology in crossbows and its getting hard to argue with it. Some states are now looking at reducing their crossbow season, making a separate crossbow season or moving it back to rifle !! I hunt with a crossbow because I ha...

Re: The Horizontal Zone
I read it agree with alot of what he said. I have been hunting with a crossbow for many years but have never been so disgusted as recently with these ads like for ravin. Its like ha we got into your bow season so now we're gonna rub your noses in it. I'm starting to agree with what the vertical bow ...

Re: Ramcat crossbow broadheads
I haven't tied a ramcat but I did try a rage. I got some 125 for a good deal. I keep hearing bad things about rage but the only deer I have shot with one so far a nice 8 point in Michigan went about 60 yards and I have never see such a blood trail Plus it started about 15 yards past where I shot him...

Re: Red dot scope
I put my fastfire ff3 on my micro a couple seasons ago and shot it a 20 yards. I liked that it made the already compact bow lighter and more compact. Plus it is really good for getting a quick site picture and picking up game with both eyes open. At the time I was having major issues getting the 335...

Re: Gen 2 Micro down
I actually got out my 20 year old exomag to sight in with the 335 when the new limbs came. I was expecting the micro to still suck and was going to just hunt with the old bow again as it has killed many animals and really never given me any problems until a limb split about 4 years ago. I was happil...

Re: Gen 2 Micro down
The ones I have got come with longer spacers for the limb straps and a little longer screws . This ! I am not sure why but I have chased accuracy with this bow for about 4 years. When I got the new limbs with the different spacers it started to shoot as I expect an excal to shoot. I don't know if w...

Re: Wisconsin 2019 crossbow change in season.
Most archery shops are finding that crossbow buyers are one and done. Where as compound shooters need more help with form and tuning etc etc. In the beginning they felt crossbows would increase their business but they are finding the opposite to be true.

Re: Gen 2 Micro down
Well I only have one and it also eventually got a cracked limb. I ordered a new set and when they sent it it came with several other pieces that made the attachment different than the original. Bow seems to shoot better now. I wish they had sent out this little kit before the limb cracked lol As far...

Re: Why the black crossbows
The truth is the composite gun stocks were pushed on the market when good walnut was getting hared to find in the 70's , 80's , they are great in poor weather, fantastic for target guns , but very poor at giving me any nostalgic feelings of ownership like checkered walnut can. I had a remington mdl...
