That is an awesome story
i am sure you wanted him badly, but this is why most of us keep going back, the hunt is not the kill, the encounter is yours alone,of course you will go back and think about this on the quiet days in your stand for years to come.

Hanging deer

Stands nad scent
I don't hunt edges with my portable, no good trees for it, i am usually about 50 yds in from the edge; i used to do a lot and try to disguise my my scent, kept hunting clothes in a bag with cedar in it, shower the night before with no soap or shampoo ( Still do that), as a matter of fact i don't sho...

Hi everybody, went out this morning about 8:30 hoping to see the buck i nicked last week, sure enough he showed up at about 10:00, quick 20 yd shot, recovery 80 yds; the nick was at the very top of the spine, barely broke the hide. Today's shot was a pass through and saw my bolt on the ground shinin...
