Got three pairs of the military ones here from my dads career. They hold up and provide good support.

I've been tempted to try the canadian tire ones, but i don't feel like wasting more money... these work good. Wish there was a way to get better bindings but otherwise, they're great.

Won't be taking any shots while the deer is just coming out of a ditch, you know that two feet on the road and two feet still in the ditch look; with about half the body level for a shot and the other half too low to the ground cause of the ditch.... wabi, well said... 300fps is the cut off line for me also. Normally its no way to jump out to 3o yards at 300fps. Now start getting out at 40 which is the high end of the kill and if a deer knows you are there, then he has a slight chance to move just enough to throw the shot off. You got that righ...

The best case scenario would be to let archery hunters receive an additional antlered or antlerless tag in WMU's with shotgun controlled hunt. I saw this add and I agree with CF.

Bargain hunters will flock for this, but you get what you pay for. I don't believe these will hold up in the -20 Celsius weather too long.

It's tough to toss up this kind of deal since if you lose them, you aren't out too much money.
