Sumner, with all due respect, I disagree with you. An expert marksman with a rifle doing a neck shot at 40 yards might be OK, but not with an arrow or xbow bolt. If the deer reacts even slightly at the sound of the shot the result would be a wounded deer. We have a duty to the animal as well as ours...

do I order a special nock reciever with that Arizona fletcher? I'm unfamiliar with doing bolts... have done regular arrows for years with my Bitz and Jo-Jan fletching jigs.

What's a good fletching jig for this job? I lost one fletch when my bolt went thru a buck's lungs the other day. :)

new ibex arrived

Hey Guys, just wanted to give an update. After finding this site a couple months ago and getting all your good advice... well I've had my ibex a couple weeks now. I ordered it and all the goodies from Dan Miller. I got the very first Ibex he has sold. I'm amazed at the accuracy with field points and...

Thanks, guys, for all the good input. I like heavier arrows too, wabi and grizz. Anyone else? I will have plenty more questions after getting an Excal. I'll probably wait until the 09 models are available.

question on phoenix

I'm new to this site and xbows. After 40 plus years of shooting and hunting verticle bows, I'm wanting to get a phoenix after trying one at Bass Pro.
