Thanks for the input so far everyone. We have no porcupines so I can rule out that one. They may have been yarded up elsewhere but I don't know why they would as compared to previous years. And finally Smokepolehall I was hoping not to hear this one but it is a good probability someone could have do...

Greetings Fellow hunters, Your input is appreciated on this one. In March 2008 I searched an area of swamp about 2 acres by 2 acres and found seven fresh sheds none i believe from the same deer-At this time I thought I hit a goldmine for future shed hunting. Then Feb and March 2009 checked the same ...

I drive a jeep. Good in the corn. :) That being said I think it has been summed up out here. I will just add comment for my own therapy (thanks Sax for starting this). The anti movement is gaining momentum daily. I work in a field that is affected by them daily. These people equate animals to people...

Hey Pyed,

That must have been before you took the Hunter Safety Course. No Cordoba's in the regs these days.

Mike, What hunter cannot relate to the neck pain you describe ? I don't even think it's worth while to bother with the chiropractor during deer season because your just gonna throw your neck out on the next hunt. The sitting and waiting certainly takes a toll. Look forward to the whole story-it's al...

Chris, My Grandfather taught me all I know about the great outdoors also. He passed about 5 years ago and I still have not gotten over it. There are a lot of people I did spend more time with but the times with him I remember with much greater detail. He was larger than life. He is still with me eve...

Monster Buck encounter

Nocturnal, Yep, this one will stay with me forever as you know. I read your post early December and I was blown away at the similarities. Thanks for sharing it. By the looks of things you have to experience it to believe it. If someone told you that you would choke in the deer field with a Buck like...

Surprise Buck encounter

Hi folks thanks for the warm welcome since I have joined the forum. This thread from Nocturnal struck me a while back because I have also had a similar experience. It occurred in late October 2006 and two seasons later I am not sure I have it figured out yet. If any of you have insights on this I wo...

Greetings to everyone in Excalibur Land

Well, I'm away from the office celebrating the birth of our third son and have finally been able to "Log on". I have been in the periphery for a while and struggled with "Do I have time to be on any website?" these days. As you all know life is busy. I have often wanted to give m...
