Re: Da Grizz knife
Yes his knives are unique! What was he charging for a knife when he was still able to make them? Has anybody sold one on here lately? Just curious.

.284 Brass insert for Carbon Express Maxima Hunters?
I've always used Lazer GTII and I want to try these Maxima Hunters but having trouble finding a good 110g brass insert in the .284 ID... can anyone point me in the right direction?! Tempted to grind down my .300 110g and make them work... not a good idea I know, but... Thanks in advance for any help...

Re: The mystery ghostblind miss explained today
I cut my shooting “lanes” wider on my ghost blind for that very reason! Is your blind getting cloudy at all from light scratches from the mirrored surfaces rubbing together? I’m on my third season and use it a lot.

Re: What's a shooter to you?
Mature. Past the ears, good mass and decent tine length. I've gotten pickier over the years. Ohio is a one buck state, so once you pull that trigger you're done. I like being outside well enough, that bums me out when I'm done early, so I just get some exercise and keep "shopping" as long ...

Re: Bargain Heads Up
UPS dropped off my refurbished matrix 380 on Monday. It's like brand new. Full "lite" package. Scope, rings, cocker, quiver, diablos, string, DVD, and bag of small goodies. I'm pumped! Getting some new arrows cut, custom string , Excalibur sound deadening system and Hawke Pro 30 coming too...

Re: Can you cut down 22" bolts to 18" with vanes still on?
Thanks for the link... I've shot a lot of arrows but never built any. Isn't cutting them PERFECTLY square a huge deal? Also once they are cut, do you have to do something to the cut end so the carbon doesn't unravel? (like of like when you cut a rope and you burn the ends)

Can you cut down 22" bolts to 18" with vanes still on?
Like the title says... I've got some 22" arrows (new, never used) for my
Exocet and I want to use them on my new Matrix. Can I have an arrow
shop cut them (perfectly) w/ the 2" vanes still on there, or does
the shaft have to be blank to be cut correctly? Thanks! Jeff

Re: Bargain Heads Up
I posted this on the Excalibur FB page... Thought about it overnight and ordered one the next morning. I just couldn't help myself! I kind of feel like I'm cheating on my rock solid, accurate and always ready Exoxet but I'm going to try to attempt to convince her an open relationship is an ok thing....

Re: Sat on the ground with my ghillie suit on.
I'm on the chubby side and do not like heights... I've shot better than half my bucks wearing an oversized turkey leaf suit laying in weeds, small bi-pod, leaning against trees, laying in ditches or sitting behind a ghost blind. Just one of the benefits of using a crossbow. 2 years ago a dumb button...

Re: The Honda Accord Xbow
As a huge Honda fan (Odyssey, Accord, CRV and soon a Civic for kids) and a bigger Excalibur fan, I guess I like that about both. Simple design, easy to work on, reliable and they work. Great analogy!

Wait... it is seriously smaller??? I thought a Suppressor was a Micro with extra sound dampening added, no?StormDragon wrote:Just handled the new suppressor today. Damn that's a compact little bugger.
Didn't think they could make something smaller then my Micro NightMare but they did.

My Dad did that once in a public hunting parking lot... he didn't run over it, but someone got a really nice crossbow after he drove away and forgot about it.

Re: How many shots per year?
I know it's less than 10 shots per year (5 maybe) and I've been very blessed shooting some nice specimens over the years. I get the bow out of the garage (cocking strings still attached from last fall), check the battery in the red dot, dust it off a bit, put some wax on the string, spray a little l...
