Re: game cameras help

On the trophy cam you could get 200 pics and only 60 have deer in them. Thats because of the burst 3 shot mode option. CF, Not disputing your word, I did have many pics without critters in 3 shot mode, but when I switched to 2 shot mode the "landscape" pics % went way down????? Try settin...

Re: What kind of tree is this?

All I know is that the persimmon is a a deer magnet! The best place I found to set my deer cameras up is under one of my persimmon trees. The deer will go to persimmons during the whole time they are falling and keep comming back even when the persimmons are all gone, just to check. I've had ...

Re: how accurate does you bow have to be?

Well said sumner4991 I also wish for a high quality crossbow scope. Had to send two Lumizones back to Danny Miller and he took very good care of me. With that said, I like to make sure my crossbow is set up and running good way before the season, just in case. I like to bench at 25 yards and have al...

Re: Who else loves hunting in the rain?

YES, I love to hunt during a rain. I have a umbrella for a treestand, always in my pack, and I hunt sometimes in a ground blind. My all time favorite time to hunt is just after a windy, stormy rain. Next favorite time is after a dense fog. About 30 years ago I remember sitting in a treestand during ...

Re: old forum members never die, they just fade away......

Checked in today and it's been a while. I don't take this forum too serious or personal. I come here to learn from the best and have fun. Other projects or family matters keep me away and I feel I am blessed to have that. As of lately, I can't stay still long enough for serious computer time, also a...

Re: experiment - beef jerky attempt #1

Never had the trots from eating jerky  and I've eaten a heck of a lot at a time, but I do agree that the young deer I take for meat are better tasting than the older bucks. I put almost the whole deer, young doe, in jerky this year instead of using the 3 year old buck and WOW what a difference ...

Re: garden

I put my tomatoes out just before the flood here in Middle Tennessee . We had 13 inches of rain in a two day period. My plants were waterlogged, but they're coming back ok. I was blessed that I wasn't affected much by the flood. I watered in some Miracle gro yesterday. :D

My Doghouse had been in the woods since the middle of October and guess what?...

Last week when I took it down I couldn't remember how to fold it :?:   Glad I had the directions with me.

I think forgetting was a " Senior Moment ".
