Believe it or not, a buddy of mine had a small still in his basement that his dad made. I think they used potatoes instead of corn to make thier shine. He used to sell it a bit at highschool. It smelled like nail polish and tasted like gasoline....after a toot of that stuff you would be game over fo...

Open sights work great
I used to shoot my Vixen a lot with the open sight before I saved up enough to get the Vari Zone scope this fall. I found that I was VERY (scary) accurate within 20 yards. I zeroed the open sight to shoot dead on at 20. I tried it at ALL distances - from 15 to 50 yards. At 15 I would shoot and aim a...

Nice work VIX
You are a fine example to all of us that we are all ambassador's to the sport of shooting/hunting wherever we go. It is very cool that your friend began her experience feeling apprehensive about shooting and guns, and ended her adventure in a very positive manner. You did a wonderful job by making h...

OFAH
I have to agree - OFAH is a good voice for hunters. Do you know that the PRIME MINISTER is supposed to be coming to their annual meeting this spring?? Let me tell you, it takes some serious political clout to do that!!! They are a relentless group in defending hunting and firearms rights in Ontario....

I know one of the guys from Ontario Monster Whitetail mag uses one and he swears by it. I have considered getting one - they would be a lot lighter to carry in the bush than a climber. Are they expensive?? I dont know if you can post prices here, but you could send me a Private Message. Thanks Moose

Ground Max
I have a Ground Max Escape ground Blind that I bought from Cabelas a year ago when it went on sale for 99 bucks. This company belongs to Primos now, and I can see why. It's an excellent blind - tough, not too shiny, good camo, large interior, and only weighs 14 pounds. Its easy to set up and very po...

I own two Vixens, one I have increased to the next power level be installing the proper shims. It used the straight riser so I was able to do that. I think it was the following year that Excalibur went to the curved riser. I'm very happy with both of my Do Do brown Crossbows cause either will get t...
