Deadeye, two years ago, I orderd a pack. Like you I wasn't overly impressed when I received them in the mail. When I tested them on a target they flew the same as my field points. A month later I had the good fortune to use one on a fairly large Buck (I figure approx. 190lb) at 17 yards. The arrow h...

tkstae, Bill T, of Excalibur has a great high density foam cube broadhead target, it is perfectly suited for Excalibur Crossbows, and it is reasonable priced . You can order one from BJ of Archery Plus. He has great prices and even better service. Who knows, if you also order your bow from him, he m...

When it comes to archery, the length of the power stroke plays a major part in the speed and power of the bow. With compounds, the wheels, cams and pulleys also play an intergral part. Since you are only asking about the power stroke, and for the sake of simplicity, I will only deal with it, as it r...

I've heard, that with carbons, a few folks had the inserts come loose. I was told that if hot melt is used, instead of the normal glue, that the problem is solved.

Very good point Claude, however whether the owner has claim to the wildlife on his property is irrevelent. Having contol and rights over his land, he can post "No Tresspassing" signs and hunt to his heart's content. That's why I say, cut the landowner some slack, and he might give the hunt...

I'd like to correct myself. I just remembered that I still have the packages mine came in. I've got: Size 4 (1.5" I.D) for both front and back. http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RADlAtMUl9V8Xbqd2Cq3F7e1ClBl4x7V7X9LZMhcv3dZVQV5nDLeCptmYlE2h5tpOACNEIATsNViL2NLmUwIDj!OmsCX61hWdrIzeM*xk5E/Blizzard.jpg...

Usually the MNR will accomodate the landowners first. However last year, in some WMUs, some additional tags went unsold. Therefore, because of greed, and wanting to milk every last drop from a "cash cow", the MNR sells the tags on a first-come-first serve basis. IMO, I don't mind pa...

Grey Owl, I'm with you. IMO, the dam government's got their fingers in more than they should. I believe in management, so the day that they feed the wildlife, is the day that they can dictate and have total control. :!: Like they say, and I paraphase: "He who pays the piper, should be ab...

Question for Digger

Doug,
How do the 125 gr Slick Tricks work on your bow? Do you recommend them? I was planning on using them with the Goldtip Laser 2 (with alum inserts, 5" vanes)

If anyone else uses them, I'd also appreciate you comments.

   the landowner owns the land not the deer. We all should get an EQUAL oppertunity to get a tag! CD, that's what the government (MNR) claims, but landowners do get first crack at the "Controlled Hunt", and Moose tags. The way I see it, I don't own my children, but since th...
