Re: Adjustable Height Cheek Rest

Your cheek rest works great on my exomax with a Burris Oracle x. Just the right height if it's all the way up. Thanks for making a great product!!!

Re: five minute deer

Trx480Ryan, I paid $550.00 for a Refurbished scope. It's a 1st GEN. model 200110. The newer ones are different and they cost about $899.00. If you consider what a good scope plus buying a rangefinder would cost it's not that bad. The BURRIS 1st GEN. model was the only one I could find that would ran...

Re: five minute deer

Gerald, the scope is a Burris laser/scope 4x-12x-42mm, Ballistc Pix. Its like a Mil dot scope but has a built in range finder. A touch of the button and it gives you a reading in top of the eyepiece. The range is 21 yards to 800 yards. This scope was really made for rifles but works great for me. My...

five minute deer

The morning started out bad on the thrid day of bow season. I didn't get on my stand 'till 7:00 and had to clear all the brush and leaves around from where the summer grew.. After about ten minutes making a lot of noise breaking branches and kickin' leaves, I finally got to sit down. As soon as I sa...

Shot 60 yards at a deer a few years back. Deer was in open field. Arrow went over its back when it ducked. Just glad I didn't wound it! Learned not to shoot long range at deer. Last deer I bagged with my crossbow was at 18 yards. 30 yards is my max. I'll save my long shots for my .270.

I put a simmons shotgun scope on my phoenix. 1.5-5 power, parallax-free at 50 yards. No issues. Does a great job.

RangeFinder Help

Anybody know who makes a horizontal rangefinder with scan mode and that you don't have to hold the button down to keep it on?

Deer Hunting is Good for the Soul

Here is an article I liked and thought I would share Some folks like to lie on the beach for relaxation. Others prefer to visit the Grand Canyon, or take a trip to Venice or some other foreign city, to wander the streets and gaze in awe at all the ancient stuff before them, or maybe head to glitter...

Got Fired Up!

You guys got me fired up to go turkey hunting again after reading your posts! Have not gone in years, going in the morning. Taking my crossbow this time! Thought I share one of my pictures with you from a fall season in the past. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r146/chuckratliff/grandmarywithtur...

M&M,

The site is $25.00, but I also used the L bracket front site made for Excalibur crossbows. If you don't have one you can buy it from http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com/exc ... p-324.html

Shafferm, you sure did your homework! Your new site sure looks nice. What is your target size set up for? I set mine for 17" but, not sure most of our deer in this area are that big.

M&M, here's where I got the Dead-On : http://www.deadonrangefinder.com/Default.aspx The web site shows how to use it. I used the front sight that came with the bow turned it around backwards and placed it on the left side so the scope knobs did not interfere with viewing it. I used GOOP and glue...
