I have spent some quality and quanity time in mine this year. I really have enjoyed it. It is sturdy, comfortable and quiet. I climbed down my tree last week with a small button buck bedded about 25 yards from me and he never knew i was leaving. I have also hunted out of a viper and I can say the ex...

It has been a very tough season for me. I have spent a lot of time, around 13 days, in the woods, but the weather has been bad. It has been so hot and windy the deer just have not been moving much. I don't mind the wind, except when it keeps changing directions like it has been doing. I got some blo...

I really enjoy the sunrise and sunset, beautiful colors in the sky. On windy saturdays (plenty of them this year) I slip in my ear phones and listen to football games. Last year I killed a doe while listening to Alabama. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!

They irritate me to no end! They will sound like a deer a long way off when they are right under me. They alarm cry at every slight movement I make. And they keep the hawks busy also!

Kenton,
The first time the Army issued me some night vision gear I was in a deer rich enviroment. I made a late night walk about and was amazed at how close you could get to them during the darkness. It was like they could see me, but didn't recognize me as a threat!

Long, Yes I will be keeping a very close eye on the crows and buzzards. Given his direction of travel, I spent a lot of time checking the fence where the deer cross a lot. The entire farm is fenced with web wire. I figured if he was hit bad he might have trouble jumping out and there would be hair/b...

Lost one, long story

I hunted Friday evening in 15-20 mph winds and needless to day I didn't see anything. Saturday morning I waited out the rain and wind and planned an afternoon hunt. When I got to my hunting grounds the weather had broke and the cold front had arrived. The wind was mild and from the north/northwest, ...

Bone out the hind quarters and slice into 1/2 steaks. They will be just the right size for a 8" black iron skillet! Yummy.
