Re: Can anybody identify this treestand?
I checked out Tree lounge and all they are currently offering are climbers. Thanks for all the info. I’m going to keep looking. Maybe I can talk this guy out of his.

Re: What's the best rangefinder for the money?
At some point you may want to mount the rangefinder on your crossbow. Some can be done , some can't, so you may want to investigate this before buying.

Re: Keeping Warm
I recived a pair of electric socks for christmas one year, they lasted about a week so I retrofitted them with 47 ohm 2 watt resistors sown into the toes. This has worked great allowing me to ditch the pack boots. My 9 year old donated the 9 volt MNH battery out of her CD player. http://i968.photobu...

Re: Remote switch for laser range finder
That looks like a really good job. What kind of range finer is that. The bushnells use ribbon connectors with alimumun wire with their switches so it's a real pain tearing into them. The switch in your picture looks like one that comes with a laser. Does it make a real loud click when depressed.

Re: String jumping part 2
I would generally agee with everything said so far. One more important point is the range estimite. Our arrows drop like rocks and taking a shot beyond 30 yards or so requires the range to be measured, not estimated. In my earlier years many of my misses were because of this and I wrongfully assumed...

Remote switch for laser range finder
Does anybody have experience installing remote switchs on laser range finders. I have done a couple of Bushnells so far but now I'm wanting to try this on a higher quality unit like a Leupold or Leica.Sure would be nice if somebody could tell me what I'm going to encounter before I tear into it.

Has anyone tried the Gold Tip Lazer 2 Pro? Are they worth the extra $25 over the regular Lazer 2 arrows?

I give up
TIR is the deviation from the center times 2. Concentricity would be times 1. I would guess market forces being what they are the manufactures are using concentricity because it sounds better but I really don’t know. Also missing is over what distance they are measuring Easton doesn’t answer my inqu...

measuring arrow straightness
Does anyone know how the arrow manufactures measure arrow straightness? I just got some Easton powerbolts and I want to measure them and post the results. To be fair it should be done like they do it.
