Re: bug tamer
I have an older suit, pants, jacket and mittens, and it has held up well. It is NOT the ghillie type, but provides excellent camoflage. I look like a bush. I don it wearing only my underwear, and can feel every breeze. Nice and cool, which lessens sweat. The skeeters crawl around on the face cover a...

Re: Some people just don't get it
We get the same thing going on down here in Florida. People get their thrills feeding the alligators. Our wardens will hide in the bushes for days to get someone on video feeding the gators, so that the prosecution is airtight. Then they kill the gators. Over at an old friends house, there was a lar...

Sounds like it would have been a better show had he passed on that deer, and spent the extra time talking about Detroit's "Summer of Recovery". I have aquaintences that have been caught doing things. Mostly they were and are nice people, and were mortified from the experience. I was always...

Re: Freezer burn.
I have a recommendation for you folks.... http://www.ziploc.com/Products/Pages/VacuumFreezerSystem.aspx Nifty bit-o-kit here. Very simple to use. Produces great results. You don't have to dig around and lug out the machine and get geared up to do just one quick bag. The bags are in the pantry and th...

.....mosquitos ain't all that bad.
If I stumbled upon your camera in the woods.......
I would come back to it later and stroll right past - wearing a black gorilla costume.
Wait a few weeks for the BigFoot furvor to subside.....then wave the old flying saucer on a string in front of it.

Re: Vortex
Finding just the right bow takes some figuring. You don't want to buy this bow when you really should have gotten that bow instead. Even though lots of folks do just that. If you want really specific advice- post up some things about yourself. Are you strong, are you older, are you tall or are you s...

Re: Excal used on Top Shot....!
Bill did a great job. They introduced him as something other than the owner of Excal. Something to do with championship shooting I believe. The only thing I saw that said Excal was a quick shot of a scope. He gave instructions and some history about crossbows, and watched the competition.

Re: Who likes crabs? Heavy pictures
We ran some lines back in the day, but it was out of the Fairview Beach area. It was back when we owned the Red Barn Restaurant. Mostly a dump, but we had crabs. Down here, folks ain't crab crazy like up there, and they boil them....yuck !!!!! I am allowed to have five pots down here and with my bro...

Re: Alligator Hunting Questions
Why use your bow ? Retreival might be difficult, unless you go for a small one. I entered into the license lottery and did some research and learned that they like to get BIG ONES. Hand thrown harpoons with heavy ropes and such. They are incredibly strong and lightening fast and deadly if they get a...

Re: Hummingbird
I have 2 feeders, because they fight. I watched two of them straffing one another one day. The victor went to the feeder and the loser flew in at high speed and crashed into him. I heard the whack. It was suprisingly intense. Montezuma supposedly ate roasted hummingbird tongues. I suppose it is simi...

Re: HANG FROM THE HEAD NOT THE BACK LEG;S
After one has arrowed and field dressed an animal....it has bled out MOST of the way. During transport....it will bleed some more. Later....it will drip some. But there is no longer any large flowing of blood. Besides, some blood isn't bad. I always figured that the idea behind the gambrel wasn't so...

Re: why hate coyotes
I live in the Heart of Florida, near Gainesville. Bought a home that sits back against hundreds and hundreds of acres of planted pine forest. We fell in love with the dump the first night we stayed here, because the wild animals were everywhere back in there. A spot light would reveal rabbits and de...

Re: Florida - Proposal to Allow the Use of Crossbows
Thank you very much kind sir. I had written them two times before and made reasonable and thoughtful pleas. Currently, archery season is not for all archers. Imagine that. We get the last week, bucks with five inch horns only. I have offered to shoot my bows in a demonstration for them, both kinds, ...
