Re: Thank you Dan aka xcaliber
I too have got Dan's strings, one camo and the other orange and black. They are perfect, yes a little quieter-I haven't shot them over chrony, but they seem to shoot a tighter group than the stock string. The guy knows what he is doing and always ready to help

Re: New 380 Matrix Blackout
Congrats on the new crossbow.I made a holder for my bag target, which allows the target to hang a couple of inches off the ground. With the impact from the arrow the target swings this making the penetration only 1/2 the length of the arrow and easy to pull out,and that is at 20yds.The bag target is Y...

Matrix 380 trigger
I have shot my 380 for about 50 times and the trigger is not getting any better. It has miles of travel and creep. The pull is ok.Now I am use to light triggers on my rifles with no travel or creep(I have them doctored to my liking). What can I do or what trigger to buy to replace it or will it eventua...

Re: New matrix 380
Congrats on new crossbow-I too just got mine a month ago and love it.As for the scope,in my opinion it doesn't make the quality of the rest of the crossbow or accessories.I up graded mine with the Twilight DLX. and am now happy. Was shooting on Sat over chrony, mine with stock diablo arrows , 125gr fi...

Re: Matrix 380 trigger
Thanks for the tip,I will stop oiling,I thought it would be like a honing oil(which would remove the material as it wore). Will keep shooting, thats not a problem with this crossbow

Shot a nice 8 pt at 18yds,double lung-went 15yds stopped stood up on hind legs and fell back dead, just that quick. He didn't know what hit him, using 125 thunderheads.Black bear at 20 yds went 25yds stopped and died, with same broadhead and same shot placement

Matrix 380 trigger
I have read on this forum that the trigger on the matrix will work in,roughly how many shots does it take to smooth this trigger out.I have oiled it,about every 5 shots(just a drop). This crossbow shots great and is accurate, can't wait to see how good it does with a good trigger.I am using 125gr fiel...

Re: Is this true?
I shoot 125 thunderheads and have no problems,I only shoot out to 35yds(thats where I feel comfortable) My friends shoot 100 and 150 with good luck so I cant say one weight is better than another. I have heard but not seen it for myself that once in a while 100 will give a flier due to not enough fr...
