Not sure how much land you have, but you might want to try another spot. last week MI had an early doe season. 40 minutes after daylight, I was calling my son to drag one out for me.
Hope your luck changes

I`ve put up 4 of those stealth stands this year . Yes you could put them up by yourself BUT why risk hurting yourself with a pointless fall . Have a second person there just incase and to hold something . I like Gimpaws way though less back strain . :) 3 back surgeries from a life of being too prou...

I agree... get someone to help you. It's not worth getting hurt, especially so close to hunting season. My son moved mine alone while I watched (back surgery). He's 25 and strong as an ox, but it was hard to put up and harder to watch.

If you mess with the arrow weight, make sure that you let him know before the season starts. It would be a shame if he wounds a deer. Gravel in the hubcaps. Exlax brownies. If you can get to his underwear drawer, grind hot pepper seeds into powder, put it in the crotch of his underwear. Trust me, he...

Interesting design, but what it all comes down to is that the more parts you have, the more chance of something going wrong.
Interesting to see though.

I've been a long time subscriber of Backwoods Home magazine. You're right, Lots of good stuff in there for a person who enjoys a more self reliant lifestyle.

My favorite spot is where a main trail gets pinched between a swamp and a steep ridge. Never fails to produce a string of bucks especially during the rut.
I'll take the woods every time

very cool. Thanks for posting. This just reinforces my choice of Excalibur. When I watch the punishment and the shear force of released energy, I'm glad that there are no more moving parts on my crossbow than what there are. Sooner or later, things will break. The more things... the more that will b...

Hey, it feels like October here. I just came inside. My feet are cold but also the rest of me is cold. Time to dig out heavier clothing for sure. Frost predicted for many areas tomorrow night. Probably would tonight if the clouds would clear out. Maybe I'll go out tomorrow and hang a tree stand...a...
