Re: The pitfalls of getting lazy

Oak trees in my area have ZERO acorns this year. That usually means feeders will really produce. Well on Corp of Engineer land feeders are a no-no. You can scatter feed, but no feeder. They are killing the feed I have packed in, but NO daylight sightings. Has been really frustrating.

Re: My hurting back n butt

Sat on a folding camp stool last Saturday for 7.5+ hours.....Was sore and stove up bad Sunday. Got to find a better seat that is still small enough to carry in.( and I saw ZERO! I wouldn't have been near as bad if I had at least seen something)

Thanks all. I’m leaning towards the 308 but my son is 10 so I might have to be the one cocking it for him but that is ok for me.
Its not a bad deal that Dad has to cock the bow 8)

Re: need some help

I had an ADF that stuck all the time. Took it off and removed lever ( one screw I think) snd polished track slightly. It had a pretty good burr in it. Works great now, maybe worth a shot.

Re: Tac 100 scope problem

No xcalibur not trying to win a prize just trying to get the most I can out of the scope and trying to be as good a shot as I can be. No I won’t shoot at a deer past 60, too risky. So you are only 2” high at 60, your predetermined limit in hunting. If you bring it down to dead nuts, your 20 won’t c...

Re: leupold users

I usually look for Leupold on Ebay. I usually buy used because they have an Excalibur type warranty, to whom ever owns the optic. I have gotten some really nice Leupold's that way over the years.

Re: Scopes

I don't know how much you are willing to spend but my go to now is a Sig Sauer BDX 2.5-8x32 scope an a 1400 Kilo Rangefinder that I bought from Cameraland for $450 shipped. You can preset up to 8 aiming points at any distances you want them or let the RF tell your scope the distance and put in an a...

Re: finish/ coating on limbs?

Years back, forum member Normous, painted some limbs and used an SEM paint made for car plastics that flex. If I remember correctly it worked very well. Might be worth a message.
