Cold Weather with a Crossbow

Hi all, ? I'm new to the world of cross bow hunting and this will be my first season with one. I have a Vortex and I'm been just practicing in warm weather. Does the colder weather during late archery season and later have any effect on cross bow accuracy or bow parts? I know cold temperatures cause...

Phoenix, I remember you guys getting all that snow. That was something! I guess it all depends on the how the jet stream tracks. I remember a guy that would gather up woolly caterpillars and put them in a box to compare the brown and black colors. Supposedly the darker they are the worst the winter ...

The forecast for the North East is colder than normal especially December and January. The storms are suppose to track up the I-95 corridor which could mean more snow for us this year in Central Pa instead of all that icy crap we got last year. Which would be nice but I'm not going to hold my breath...

I use a climber and most of the time I'm around 20-30'. Deer still bust me sometimes at these heights. Dang deer! But if it's windy or bad weather I will not get up at all or as high. Thats what the ground blind is for. :)

I use a head light. I don't like tripping and walking into spider webs anymore than anyone else. I put reflective tacks on the tree that I climb up in. I usally know my way in but I like to put the tacks on so I can find my tree quicker. I have walked up to porcupines before in the dark and I'm glad...

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I think I will use the blue in small amounts. I knew you needed to use a soldering iron or something like that to heat the screws before removing them with loctite. That's one of the reason I post the question. But I was curious what you guys/gals had to say from ...

Excalibur CrossBow screws

Its my first year using a crossbow and I was wondering if its a good idea to put blue loctite on the screws and bolts that hold together the bow :?: I know Mr Troubridge tells you to use red loctite on the scope bracket. But I was wondering about all the other screws.

Thanks in advance :)
