I don't get it. Guys say "cut the noise by 50%"; "noise and vibration minimal". I put the STS on my phoenix and it still makes the same clunk it did before. Sure some twang and vibration is reduced a bit, but that clunk is still like it was. BTW, the rods on the STS had to be adj...

I have owned a 175lb Excal Phoenix for 2 weeks and while I can shoot it very accurately from a rested position , I find it difficult to shoot in the offhand position. Yea, I can hit on at 50 when resting the bow but find it very difficult to hold and shoot as I would my rifle. I have found that I am...

Broken serving; this could work.

Well I have been shooting the Phoenix for about 2 weeks on and off and took maybe 70 shots and waxed the serving 2X. This serving broke today and I have been aware from reading this forum that this is a common problem. I have a few questions: 1) are the serving materials used today the same as in th...

Yes the Vari scope.. the dial in the rear is to adjust point of impact for the 30,40 and so on... Once scope is set at 20, you goto 30 and adjust this dial not the widage or elevation and so on I am brand new to all of this and didn't read anything, but the way I understand it is that the 250-350 r...

I have been shooting the scope for a few days but didn't read anything yet.

I just got my bow with firebolts and redid them saturday. What a pain getting the epoxy out from the back end in order to get the firenocks in; but I love to shoot the lighted nocks. I wouldn't buy an arrow with that flat nock again. Anyway what I came up with is shooting ok, around 390 grains. Fire...

Any feedback on the arrow not passing through would be appreciated. Deer don't often "drop" when hit with arrows. Normally a deer dropping in its tracks indicates a spinal cord / crippling hit. Did you check for your broadhead in the spinal column vertebrae? Sounds like that is what halte...

Isn't the minimum 350; if so I believe the 100 grainers would put you on or over that standard.

as said, pass through will just depend on the angle, distance , and etc... any bhead should make a pass through. But if you hit both front shoulders its hard to say.. shoot which ever your bow liked best;) Almost always overlooked and rarely ever mentioned when the "passthrough" question ...

Is this thing on?

I put on the STS that I got yesterday and shot the new Pheonix today. Am I missing something, like an on / off switch to activate the STS . Seriously, the bow was still making quite a clunk. Maybe some string twang / vibration was reduced but that clunk is still there. I am new to crossbows, but for...

But..... didn't you know that you just "forget the wind and hunt" . Yea, "pro" hunters decked out from head to toe in scentlok never get winded; do they? Seriously, it's hard to watch the TV shows without one of these "pro" hunters saying " he winded us and...

OK, thanks. These arrow / bolts are a tad on the light side. I think I will get an STS and use 125 grain heads.

I ordered some slick trick 125 magnums and hope this will be a good compliment to the firebolts.

Firebolt nock question

I just got the phoenix today and this is brand new to me.

Looking at the firebolt the back end has what looks to be similar to an aluminum insert. Is this the flat nock and is the bolt ready to shoot or am I missing something?

Firenocks are the top lighted nock in the industry.

Brighter than the rest and the battery is field replaceable.
