Re: How old is old

80 last August. I had a perfect hunt on Nov.1 2018 when I shot a 130 in. 10 point. I decided to take this
year off and come to FL early. I got 2 30 mile rides in this week on my "new to me" Look carbon fiber
racing bicycle, averaging close to 16 mph. Life is good. I've really been blessed!

Re: To pee or not to pee

A hot water bottle works good. I've peed in scrapes, but when in the tree I prefer the hot water bottle. Dump it when you get home; rinse
it and you're good to go.

Re: Screw-in weights

I screw socket head capscrews in to the back of the insert, I then add
a drop or so of hotmelt. Works great, you just have to try some various
lengths in order to get the desired weight.

Happy birthday Don! Sorta a bummer having your birthday so close
to Christmas. Our youngest son's birthday is Jan 1. It seems as though
he always get short-changed.

Great Bow! Call Danny Miller and order one of his flemish strings and a stringer.
Trust me. You won't be sorry and Danny might have some good tips for you.

Re: Considering switching to fixed blade from mechanical

I tried the Montecs while still shooting a vertical.. Hit a WV buck in the shoulder and got no penetration. The Montec bent over in the front. They also seemed hard to sharpen. I've been using Slick Trick Magnums and they've done a nice job, while hitting right with my fieldpoints. I thought about t...

Re: Prayers for UPSMAN

You willl certainly be in our thoughts and prayers Dennis.12 years ago I had quintuple bypass surgery. I thought that might be a record, but sounds as though you're going to break it. Seriously, you won't believe how much better you're going to feel.
God Bless,
Jim

Re: Exreeme foc heavy bolts

I have been using BEE's with a 110 gr insert and 125 gr Slick Tricks for several years. The 2 deer that I've shot with them were complete pass throughs and broken ribs. This year, after season I experimented with an additional 25 gr by screwing a socket head cap screw into thet back of the insert, w...

Re: See All Sight

I have 2 of them. Pretty sure that I bought one of them from FooFoo. I hunted exclusively with one in 2016, but I never shot at a deer. I planned to use it again this year, but put my Nikon on at the last minute. Turns out that the 10 yd. shot I made on the buck I killed, could probably have been ma...

Re: Midge Fly

It's been reported in 3 counties in SW PA. News stations reported 150 dead deer. I'm afraid that it will be 10 times that number or mord before we get a frost.

I too use the Kwikee 3, however, I mount it directly to the forearm on all of my crossbows. Very light and convenient and I think it just looks good!

Re: Tree Harness

Very interested in the concept of using a rock climbing harness as some have mentioned. For those using them I am curious how you attach to the tree? Looking at pictures of the harnesses it looks like there are two loops, one at each hip. Do you attached to the tree using these loops? I have lifeli...
