Re: OT Computer monitor
Could you find a TV or monitor that seems to be clear to you and do away with the desk, Dennis ? Maybe then you could mount the screen at your comfort view and use a wireless keyboard. I'm just grasping for something here.....

Re: Well how well did you do?
"Bagged" this guy on the trailcams on a weekly basis all summer long which was rewarding enough. Unfortunately for me, he went off on a 3 mile jaunt in early November and was taken with bow by another hunter. Such is life......I did take a doe, my first xbow deer, with the Excal Vortex. ht...

Re: Removing plastic flat nocks from carbon arrows
I also have Firebolts. They have the flat aluminum nocks. I assume they can be removed with a little heat. It's the plastic nocks in the PowerBolts I would like to remove.

Re: Removing plastic flat nocks from carbon arrows
I stand corrected. They are indeed PowerBolts, and with plastic flat nocks.

Removing plastic flat nocks from carbon arrows
This has no doubt been asked before, but couldn't anything on it.
Short of cutting off the arrow, has anyone found a good method for removing the flat nocks from a carbon shaft without ruining the shaft ? Would they have been glued in ? They are Excal Firebolts.

Re: Time to get those cams back out
Being a little farther north than you our antler shed is happening now, or has pretty much already happened. All of our deer seasons are now over. I've given some thought to putting a couple cams out, but with all the snow cover a cam would be pretty easy to track down.

Re: for those that use NiMH batteries
Thanks for the heads up. I use Eneloop rechargeables in all my cams and have been pretty happy with those too.

What arrows are you using? Luminoks have two metal prongs that when fired contact the arrow shaft.
Using Firebolts.

Re: I never saw this coming
I think a good deal of the bias against xbows is based on nothing more than personal hangups and misinformation. I have been a vertical bow shooter for 35+ years and was as biased as anyone could be in what I personally thought about xbows and xbow users. I felt they were a poachers weapon basically...

Re: Groundblindes
One of the members mentioned the KillZone blind. Sold my Ameristep Doghouse and ordered and received two, and had the opportunity to hunt out of them with the muzzleloader in December. For the money they are very nice, imo. Hub style with easy setup, nice material/camo pattern and roomy. Not the hub...
