Always a heartbreaker to lose a deer. It happens to everyone, and if it hasn't to some yet, it will if you hunt long enough.
Keep your head up. You did your best, and nothing for you to be ashamed of if it's not recovered. Like another poster mentioned, nothing in Nature is wasted.

Great job. You're gonna like the illuminated nocks. And the Slicks are hard to beat from any bow, I've found. They really do the job and very durable too.

A 30 cal brush on a short section of cleaning rod works well for the residual residue inside the shaft. Just do it a little at a time until it's done.

He sure did. I had the cam on forced flash, and he probably saw that and figured once was enough....

Makes perfect sense, I'm still green at this and hadn't considered the bevel and string contact...That's why I asked the experts !!

I have several 2216 arrows for the vertical bow. Can I use a regular aluminum insert that I already have, or does the insert for the fletched end have to be crossbow specific ? I'll use brass inserts on the business end, but thought I would just use up the aluminum inserts if they will work.....than...

If it contains borax it will work. Boric acid powder also works.
