Re: Sighting in the varizone scope
I am no expert here, I just got my outfit from Dan Miller with the varizone scope. He had it sighted in pretty close at 20 yards. That is the start point. Then when you move back to 30, you use the triangle just below the crosshair. The idea is if your arrow spead is set right, you should be sighted...

Back from Shooting Crossbow
Well I just got in from putting all the pieces together in my hunting outfit. I used recommendations from this forum to help guide me. Shooting the Exocet with the varizone scope, put on the STS sytem, shooting arrows from Dan Miller, using Slick Trick's 100 Magnum. Still original bowstring...have n...

Re: Phoenix or Vixen 2
I just got one of those Phenocets. I had ordered an Exocet, and it came with a Phoenix sticker on. At first I was a little concerned, but it turned out to be the Exocet that I had ordered. I guess the factory makes a mistake one in a while is putting the right sticker on the stock. Dang Pete, You j...

Slick Trick Broadheads
I've read a lot of positive things about these broadheads. I see they have a standard and a magnum size head. Curious how folks find these broadheads, and what size works best.

Re: New Exocet
Well just got in the backyard and shooting the bow for the first time. Right out of the box from Dan Miller, I was shooting consistently at 1 to 2 inches high of a quarter size bullseye at 20 yards. Not too bad, I would say. I had a couple other questions for Dan this morning and he quickly addresse...

Crossbow Broadhead Target
Looking for a recommendation on a crossbow target for broadheads. My experience is that broadheads are pretty tough on just about any target I have used...but thought I would check with the board. Thanks in advance.

New Exocet
Well I got my new Exocet in the mail today. I want to thank you all for the advice you had provide on this forum. A great group of folks. I ordered from Dan Miller, and everything went as smooth as can be. When the bow arrived, all I had to do was bolt the bow to the riser....the rest was done. Two ...

Re: Easier? crossbow or compound hunting
Not sure yet. I've hunted with a compound thru this past season. In the process of purchasing an Exocet for next season. Some of my reasons...one is I can hunt with it now, living in Pa. But some other reasons are I am getting a little older and like to hunt from a treestand. When I hunt from a tree...

Ground Pounder vs. Miller Mount
Hi all, As mentioned recently I am relatively new to the board and Crossbows. Based on the great advise I have recieved here, I ordered a bow from Dan Miller. He is boxing it up this afternoon. I got the Exocet and can't wait to try it out. One thing I had to decide on was a quiver mount. I stayed a...

Re: STS, Ground pounder
Does anyone know if you have to re-serve the string that comes with the Excalibur bow to accomadate the STS pads? I understand the serving should be as wide as the STS pads. Just got a new Exocet and was getting an STS and now wondering is the serving needs to be redone.

Re: Crossbow questions
Once again I would like to thank all those who have posted. Great advice from all. I did talk to Danny as suggested....great source of information. I will definately be ordering from him. I am down to the Exocet and the Phoenix, as my hunting is pretty much focused on Whitetails.
