Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
what I said is self explanatory, so no need to say more to defend my words. everyone has their own opinion I submit to you sir that your position is illogical and has no defense. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But an opinion that the only good snake is a dead snake damning an entire sp...

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
If the "danger theory" for killing snakes were applied to other animals that cause injury and death to humans, the following animals should be killed upon sight.
Saltwater Crocodile
Hippopotamus
Box Jellyfish
Cape Buffalo
Great White Shark

Of course that is what I think, hence the wink.
I wanted to post something so absurd to point out how absurd the opposite statements are saying that all snakes should be killed.

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
I would say you have ample enough reasons to "warn" them based on AK law regarding the subject. Arkansas: From the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission: All native snakes, including venomous snakes, are protected by law and are illegal to kill unless they ‘ pose reasonable threat or endangerm...

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
If all the people in the world shared the philosophy that every snake should be killed on sight, snakes would be eradicated and go extinct. As a result, the rodent population swells to uncountable numbers. Crop fields are devastated by the rodents. Humans die of hunger. The rodents bring disease and...

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
Good thread! \ I agree. I also have no problem with the killing of a venomous snake that encroaches or endangers humans or domesticated animals. I find it interesting that the “only good snake is a dead snake” contingent have yet to post anything justifying their actions except the statement itself.

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
And you know vixenmaster I would have no problem at all if you were making a snakeskin belt using a real snakeskin. As long as the snake is not on on the protected list and you can legally kill it and use it in a manner that benefits you in some way, go for it. I am trying to get across to the forum...

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
You will have a tough time convincing this crowd (or any other for that matter) that killing snakes is wrong and counter-productive Norm. People allow fear, ignorance and indoctrination to override logic regarding these reptiles. More people are killed by dogs in north america then by snakes. But sh...

Re: O/T Copperhead Snake Pic
If I see an eastern diamondback on the road I take out my snake hook and put him on the side of the road. Hunters should realize that all creatures have their purpose: except mosquitoes and ticks  norm I inspect gas lines and do environmental impact studies for Panhandle Eastern in the Texas p...

Re: Might be a while.
Keeping down the swelling is a must!!! I had my hernia surgery about this time last year and the swelling was really bad. All my "man parts" doubled in size. While this would normally be on the plus side, trust me, it was a definite negative. Be religious with the ice protocol. If you can ...

As the name suggests, I shoot a classic 165# Exocet and though the new models may be pretty sexy, I will go home from the dance with the girl I brought.
I would enjoy a section devoted to the old carved tip bows.
