Re: More on cougars
They just had a black bear raiding bird feeders in the city limits of Rochester yesterday. I don't blame you for carrying some fire power into the woods anymore. Its one thing if you are used to seeing these types of animals in your area, but its a whole different story when they just kind of show u...

Re: Why we hunt turkeys....
Now I see my problem. They moved to town and I'm looking for them out in the woods! No wonder I have trouble finding them. Duh!!!!

Re: More on cougars
Whatever it was...it was bigger than normal for around here. The bobcats we have in the area are maybe 15-30 lbs. This cat was probably 60-70 lbs. The grass he was walking in was about 8-10 inches tall so he stood pretty tall at the shoulder too. I know that cougars usually run 150-200 lbs, so I'm n...

Re: More on cougars
I got a picture of this cat on my trail cam last fall. DNR said that its a bobcat, but a number of the neighbors actually saw it on various occasions. Everyone said it had a long tail and was well over knee high at the shoulders. I found a couple of its tracks near my camera and they were as big as ...

Re: slick tricks
I've been thinking about trying a 3 pack. They are available on the Bowhunter Superstore site for $26.10 for a 3 pack. Not that ridiculously priced so if you don't like 'em your not out an arm and a leg!

Thanks again! I'm sure glad I asked before I took it as part payment on our trade. Would have been a big disappointment. I like my Bushnell Trophy cams!

Cossack...this is the guy from Cannon Falls that took it with a bow....I think. Here's the link to the article in the outdoor news.

Re: largest typical whitetail in North America in 2009
That's just sad. We had a couple of poachers here in southeast Minnesota get caught last year. The one had harvested an 8 point that would have been the state record. Now instead of being in the record books he's on what they call the DNR's "Wall of Shame". I think the criminal charges and...

Re: Wildview digital camera
Thanks! I'll check it out. I don't use feeders, so the critters I get pictures of are usually walking if not faster. I thought he was in a big hurry to offer that up as part of the deal.

Wildview digital camera
Anyone have one of these or know anything about them? I've got a fella trying to make a trade with me and he's offering me a Wildview 3MP digital camera as part of the "boot" on the trade. I've had nothing, but Bushnells and know nothing about them. Are they any good, etc. Thanks!

Re: need input/opinions
Welcome to the forum!!! I have 2 Lumizone scopes with the Excal rings and base. Also have a Varizone with the Excal setup. I see nothing wrong with any of my Excal setups. The Lumizone is a bit nicer with the illuminated reticle and the 40 mm obj lens, but both are good scopes. Myself...I think the ...
