Re: Arrow Pullers

Lucky you! :D OK, so you're saying just lube the first few inches (meaning from just behind the point?). Thanks so much for the specifics, it makes ALL the difference! There just aren't "directions" for some of this stuff, you can only get it from those who know! :!: Always great to have N...

Re: Arrow Pullers

Thank you, so about the lube, I know nothing about that. Are you putting a thin coat on the arrow and how much of the arrow and how applying it? Also, is that lube welcome from the crossbow where the arrow sits? Or, does that raise any issues as far as the bow? As one of the "puller guys" ...

Re: Arrow Pullers

Thank you, yes, I'm hoping that I actually got two decent targets for around the price of one, and they'll last awhile. Now, I just have to sight in my red dot and make sure I'm hitting them! I can see your reasoning and you are correct regarding messing up arrows because if you shoot for the ...

Re: Arrow Pullers

No, it's a great habit, thank you! :) OK, the reason I ordered two of those targets is because they were a good price and "appear" to be good quality (the several reviews were very good both for broadheads and points), so I thought this way, I'll be set up for quite awhile. Being brand new...

Re: Arrow Pullers

Hi! Thank you...I looked up the 18-1 on that site and it looks like it costs about 2.5 times that of the one I ordered. So, maybe you got a deal somewhere other than the manufacturer's site? Thanks very much for letting me know if you have more details! mmecrossbow, I don't know if you have already ...

Re: Arrow Pullers

Thank you for letting me know...those are really great photos! :) Well, during my first shots, I will definitely be pulling out each arrow before I shoot the next! I only have my first four carbons and target points that came with the Lite Stuff Red Dot Package. And, I also have to figure out ...

Re: Arrow Pullers

Thank you so much, everyone. This is great. Those photos are incredible, Vix Chix! What is that thing made out of? Some of those arrows were in so deep, that really would be tough getting them out. You'd have to use something just like that Danny Miller Puller, for sure. Thank you again, everyone!

Re: Questions re: Strings and Arrows

Thank you, that's very helpful, you're right, he meant not to shoot into the same place on the target, I think. I think I would pull out the arrow each time to avoid that problem and keep the target in good shape (one of those foam ones I just ordered).

Re: Arrow Pullers

Thanks everybody, this is really helpful! :D Sounds like you need to have at least the Danny Miller puller in case there is too little arrow sticking out to grab onto and that other options might be nice when there's more.

Re: Arrow Pullers

Thank you very much, VixChix, this is so helpful :!: one shot scott: so far, everyone seems to like the Danny Miller puller. Something very interesting I also came across, someone on a blog said using an exercise rubber band just easily wrapped around the arrow provides a perfect grip and clean remo...

Re: Arrow Pullers

Interesting...so different from the others. I can't believe that doesn't bend the arrow easily, and it has metal grips, how does it not bend or scratch up the arrows versus the soft grip? Interesting! Thank you!

Arrow Pullers

Which do you think is the best of these three products for pulling out the arrows without causing damage (I would be partial to Excalibur's product, but with the other two you can pull from closer to the tip, which would seem to decrease chances of bending the arrow): http://www.excaliburcrossbow.co...

Re: Questions re: Strings and Arrows

Very good, jackleg! Well, is that a problem when you're using a foam style target meant for crossbows (both broadheads and points?), don't the holes fill back in fairly well? I don't think you could very easily shoot the same hole twice on that style target. What do most people use? Thank you!...
