My used Vortex came with a FFF installed... and I'm very pleased with the way it shoots (good speed & accuracy). I was a little uncomfortable shooting it until I put on an STS..was afraid of a dry-fire.

I'm anxious to try a BOO string which I have on order.

I'm happy with my Vortex... but if I was to do it over, I think the Phoenix would be my choice. Plenty of power for deer and easier for lots of target shooting.

Have only had an Excal for a few months, but have spoken and ordered stuff from Dan at least half a dozen times already! Great Guy 8) I believe he's in at least 2 of the "Instructional" videos on this site: "Compound Bow vs Crossbow" and Crossbow Procedure and Safety" He ass...

You guys with pickups are lucky... I doubt if my wife would let me put an EXCAL sticker on our Honda.
