i turkey hunt with a phoenix xbow from a dog house blind.i leave the front window and sreen down half way.i sit on a fold up hunting chair with a back for comfort and no sides on chair.i rest my bow on an adjustable fork gun or bow rest so there is no movement raising the bow when your game comes in...

on the arrow drop chart it says a 1.38 rise for a 10 yard shot at 300fps like my phoenix.thus i use th 10 yard mark on my scope.i was told by a local archer who also shoots in 3d tournaments that inside of 10 yards you should use your 20 yard mark[ which is my bow setting ] for say a 5 yard shot.can...

tree stand angle
i,ve set my stands and i,ve located one 10 yards inside the bush.my stand is 15 feet high.i use a phoenix with a scope.this is the closest i,ve been to a shooting lane.usually i'm 15 to 25 yards and successfull.will the shorter angle require a height placement adjustment for a good shot?

i have hunted turkey with my phoenix crossbow for 3 seasons bagging just one.i have been bustted 3 or 4 times by birds 15 to 20 yards out.i'm thinking it is the scope on my crossbow.i have a camo cover but i suspect it is the lense reflection.has any one else had this problem?i hate to remove scope ...
