Re: ATA 2021 in January is cancelled

Da Grizz knife
In honor to Da Grizz, I've passed down my D2 spearpoint knife to my avid hunting son. He almost cried when I gave it to him along with a work sharp to keep the razor edge. Darrell, you may be gone, but you wont be forgotten. You made a hell of a knife. Rest well old son knowing your exellent work li...

Re: ATTN: Old stubborn men on this site!
CSB: A mine I worked at had some new safety harnesses come in for trial and approval. One was given to the dewatering crew (me) to test. At coffee time the crane operator hooked me up to the crane, handed me my thermos of coffee, and snack, then hoisted me two feet in the air. I spent the whole 15 m...

Very kind offer, Janesy. My days of sitting in a swaying tree, puking, are over. I much rather the feel of the ground beneath me. You're a good man who may actually be saving a life. Tip o the hat to you.

Re: Scary hunting happenings
Found an empty papoose hanging from a tree once on reserve land. Apparently they are hung in the woods to keep away the dead babies spirit away from the lodge. It looked pretty old. Gave me the willies.

Re: Dusting Off My Ol' Ibex!
Welcome Hatchet. I still use the rope cocker on my brothers Ibex. I could easily hand draw it, but it's no where near the consistency of rope cocking. Just something to think about for accuracy's sake.

Re: Happy Father’s Day
Thanks Dan. My kids are grown up, and far away. I get phones calls. I went out scouting today, and took my metal detector with me on the off chance I might find a relic. No relics, but I did get a hit on the machine. I dug it up, and got rewarded with a Carbonatious Chondrite (rocky meteorite) about...

Re: Judo points from a crossbow?
I call the ones with wires gopher gutters for a good reason. Rubber blunts work much better imo. Saunders used to carry 1" wide rubber blunts that were convex at the front. Kinda like a suction cup. Those were the best I've ever used. The cup shape created a double punch because of the shock wa...
