Re: R U a Good Hunter or need a Fast Bow
Can't I be a good hunter who wants a fast bow? Why must you make me choose?  The closest wild deer I've ever had was about 3 feet from one of my brush blinds. I keep thinking one will get close enough to touch, but not yet. I'm usually in the trees this time of year anyways. I ...

Well, this thread has certainly took a turn since I first read it! Guess that's what I get for not following threads! I also feel sorry for BigNasty. Don't know the real reason he did it nor do I care. But whatever the reason, I hope he gets any personal problems in his life that would cause someone...

Re: First Crossbow Kill Ever
Congrats on a nice Missouri Ridge Runner!!
And I use to smoke on stand as well. I used to say that a cigarette and cup of coffee was the best scent you could use because as soon as I lit up and poured a cup of coffee, the deer would show up

He's not really that big. I would have let him walk and get bigger next year or the year after... YEAH RIGHT!!! THAT'S A HONKER OF A BUCK! I'd fallen out of my treestand if something like that walked by. Great shot and recover...sorry for the ribbin' above, it comes with the territory... :D

Congrats on stayin' the course. Funny that after you get a deer down, you don't remember all those hours you put in gettin' him! That's the way it goes!

Re: Feeders and Trail Cameras?
Just thought of a feeder plan I've seen in the past. A 5 gallon plastic bucket with a hole in the center of the bottom and a dowel rod with a pin or nail through it to act as a stop/pivot in the hole. The hole (I'm guessing here) is probably 1 1/2 - 2" diameter and the dowel is an old mop/broo...

Re: Learned something tonight
What setup are you using? My arrow speed out of my Axiom is about 287 fps and I haven't had this issue, including the first Doe I shot this year at 53 yards. (it was a little further back than what I liked though) Have you tried quieting your bow down with the STS system, string silencers, etc? Gran...
