Yes sir, there’s a one tom limit, but even if there wasn’t, there was no way I could’ve recocked my crossbow laying on my stomach on the ground. If I had stood up, the rest of the birds would’ve been gone.IronNoggin wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 5:16 pmCongrats!
Just wondering why you did not take the second tom?

Re: 2023 NW Oklahoma Fall Tom
Congratulations! You are indeed on a killing spree! You're making me thing about breaking my Offspring out too! Togethe with the Katana, they are one of the best compound crossbows ever made. I started in crossbows with an Exomax and was totally against compound crossbows, but I made the ...

2023 NW Oklahoma Fall Tom
The Stryker Offspring strikes again!!! I accomplished one of my hunting goals this afternoon. I was on the way back to my deer stand and heard turkeys clucking in a grove of trees on the south bank of the river that runs through the property. I did about a 100 yard sneak through tall grass, and when...

2023 East Texas Crossbow Buck
I pick out a particular buck every year from my camera pictures, and that’s the buck I hunt. I’ve watched this buck all summer, but he’s very rarely come in during the daylight. I thought I screwed up royally yesterday by mowing and planting a food plot where I‘m hunting, but evidently, the deer did...

Re: I swore I wouldn't....
That’s a great looking bow, and I can definitely relate to having a “bow addiction”. I had a second Stryker Offspring show up at my house yesterday. I don’t want to haul my other one back and forth to Oklahoma, so I now have one for both places.

Re: Another One
I’ve been hunting with a Stryker Offspring since 2019, and I received my second today. I’m up to three Excaliburs (Exomax, Ibex, and Micro335) and now 2 Offsprings.

Re: Broadheads.
I started out using 150 grain Boltcutters and killed quite a few deer with them, but I never got a very good blood trail. I bought some second hand Carbon Express XT4 heads to try. They shot really well, so I started hunting with them and am exponentially happier. My son wanted to try Tooth of the A...

Re: Are you ready?
I quit hunting with my Exomax in about 2013 when I bought a Matrix 380, then I went to a Micro 335. Since 2020, I’ve hunted with the Stryker Offspring. The Micro 335 and Offspring stay at my place in Oklahoma, so I’m putting the Exomax back into service to hunt with behind my house here in Texas. Th...

I feel your pain. I hunt in Texas and Oklahoma, so I’m used to sweating and swatting mosquitoes during archery season.

Re: Are you ready?
I hauled my tractor up to my place in Oklahoma on Tuesday to mow roads, stand locations, and food plot sites, and I intended to do ground prep for food plots. However, even though it’s been a wet summer, the ground is now dry and rock hard, so I wasn’t able to till at all. I left the tractor up ther...

Re: Are you ready?
Looking for a new scope for a Micro 335. Then I will be ready. Any suggestions? I’ve got Leupold VXIII 1.5-5 with an illuminated reticle on my Micro 335. As far as getting ready for hunting season, it’s been too dang hot to do much so far, but I’m planning to go to my place in Oklahoma in the next ...

Re: 2022 Oklahoma Crossbow Buck
That's a heck of a Deer for sure. Being just south of Oklahoma, we here in Texas see a lot of good Deer taken in Oklahoma every year. No wonder it has the reputation of being one of the great "sleeper" states for good Whitetails. :eusa-shhh: Yes sir, I live in east TX but own a ...
