Re: could plastic knocks cause misfire
Thanks for the advice. I will try roughing up the plastic nocks, they are pretty smooth. I do make sure the arrow has not moved before firing but good advice. I use the same string on all the arrows. The firebolts are carbon fiber, don't have any aluminum arrows. Haven't had misfires with the firebo...

could plastic knocks cause misfire
I was shooting 20" Carbon Express PileDriver bolts, 125 gr field points and plastic knocks with my Phoenix. I have never had a misfire but today I had 3. I have used firebolts with aluminum knocks until today when I used the piledriver bolts with the plastic knocks. Could the plastic knocks be ...

Re: How do you quieten the arrow retainer?
The reason I'm asking is because on my buck commander it had a piece of rubber on the end of the arrow retainer. I figured it was there to lessen vibration and noise. So I thought maybe I should add one to the Phoenix but didn't know what to use.

Re: serving broke on new excal flemish string
I went to basspro and bought another flemish string and some boltcutter broadheads. Still have my string but don't think I'm too comfortable with reserving it.

Re: serving broke on new excal flemish string
I think you're right. I do seem to overcock it. I didn't do it when I first got the bow but now I believe I am cause I do seem to be pulling past the click I hear. Is it hard to restring or I'll just buy another one? Are you taking orders at the moment? I've heard a lot of great things about your st...

serving broke on new excal flemish string
I installed the flemish string on Oct. 1st and the serving has already broken on the right side. I've waxed it per the dvd that came with my excal. And I've only shot firebolts with it. I've probably shot about 30-40 bolts.

Why isn't the Phoenix entirely camouflaged like the ecomax and equinox?

New flemish string installed
I just installed my new cheekpiece and my new flemish string. The cheekpiece is very comfortable and makes a great bow look even better. The string was sitting just above the upper brace height, the one closer to the trigger. I shot about 16 shots and the string is now sitting about midway. Should I...

Re: Maybe I should have bought an Equinox
thanks guys for the input. I think I was suffering from the "I gotta have more speed" disease, haha. It's a great bow, it handles better than the buck commander and just looks great, too. I just ordered the cheekpiece, flemish string, crossbow stringer and the deluxe padded case. Can't wai...
