Re: Which type of broadhead is best for the crossbow?
My favorite is the 100 gr. Muzzy, shoots very much like a field point, have killed several deer with it. Use a 175 lb Excalibur modified Vixen.

Tell me about the poundage at 112 lbs or so? What are you drawing to cock it .
With a cocking rope? At release are you shooting 250 lbs? Is that how you get the 380 fps. I guess you would need Armour piercing broad-heads. Cost?
Thanks for the info.

Been there, Done that, but I'll probably only do it that one time.
Reminded me of in the very cold weather, New Years I think, of a fire cracker going off in my hand. hurts for hours.

Re: Looking for some ground blind tips / knowledge
Something I used to do, when you got a lot of stuff to take to your spot, helpful is a old golf bag hauler, it fold up, has wheels and will not take up much room in your blind. I have strapped onto it, not just the blind, but bow, pack, and it can help to get your deer out.

Re: Ground Blind?
Here's a tip fer you gnd blind toters. Get you one of those fold-up golf bag haulers and strap yer gnd blind bag on it to pull it into yer spot or haul it out.You just got to go around some logs. You can haul a lot of gear on one of those or it will even help haul out your deer too. Good Hunting., O...

Re: Don't Do This!
I have always left mine on each vixen of the two I own ,never that problem, must be a soft string problem, I have left mine on in a closet for months with no problem. If this happened,I would change the string. Could be strength of the limbs contributing to this. Vixens are all I'll ever need. One Vi...

Re: ground blind or tree stand???
For me it would depend on several things, my age, how comfortable I feel in a safety harness (some can hurt you more than the fall), the terrain, sloping or flat, how close I am to readily used deer trails, do deer look up in this location, etc. How cold and wet is the weather going to be, wind direc...
