Re: REMINDER - How To Deal With Spammers

Being pretty new to computers and forums, I dont understand what they are trying to accomplish? Most of the stuff seems to be jiberish and not making sense. Even the possible ads are unintelligable to me.

Re: Where to buy 2213s?

Yes wabi that is why I wanted to try them. I like the idea of aluminum for deer in case they break off. I have only shot deer with aluminum and just started using carbon for targets. The inserts seem to come loose and if you miss they crack when removing them. I see you use 2215, this may be an opti...

Re: Where to buy 2213s?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. They must not be very popular like 2216, 2217, and firebolts. I will check out archers nook. I was just curious to experiment with them but found they were hard to find.

Where to buy 2213s?

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get Excal 2213 aluminum arrows in Ontario. Everywhere I check only sells 2216, 2219, and carbon firebolts. Excal lists them but nobody sells them even Basspro and cabelas.

Re: arrow broadhead combos

Very old school. Just finised my 15 year old supply of what excal used to reccommend- 2117 shafts, 5" fletching with 125gr wasp BH. Just got some firebolts a month ago and am deciding on what BH to go with. FOC research has me quite confused because I dont think my old combo was that great? See...

Re: Which scope covers/caps??

Excal makes flip up scope caps. They are called blizzard caps and they have them for the vari and lumi. Dont see them on the website but they have them in the stores here. Definetly an excal product but I dont know how well they work or anyone that has them.

Re: Difference in Models

Yes, I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Phoenix is comparable to my exocet 165 and is very easy to cock. My buddys equinox is pretty hard. You wont target shoot with the exomax without a rope cocker all day, or maybe not cock it at all without it. You need to look at your age as well as h...

Re: Need Help

I am not familiar with slick trick mags but a large blade broadhead would be more effected by wind. Also I just started shooting the firebolts myself and of the 5 I shot so far 1 shoots 6" to the left of the others consistently. All from the same box of 6. Just trying to eliminate easy stuff be...

Are the arrows carbon firebolts or aluminum and what series? Also what distance are you shooting?

Re: Dissipator bars worth it?

My understanding is they are strictly for sound and has no effect as a limb saver, so it would probably be OK. I believe Bill Troubridge told me this at the sportsman show when they first came out 10 years ago. This would probably lighten up the front of your long rail bow. They feel surprisingly he...

Excal sold/ Troubridge retiring?

Sorry if this is old news but I only joined a week ago and found this site a month ago. I was searching Maximus and the impression I got was Bill and Kath are selling or retiring? I tried a search but did not find what I was looking for. A buddy told me this rifle hunting but I thought he was mistak...

Re: Dissipator bars worth it?

Thanks guys, this is the exact kind of trial and error experiences I was looking for. That is what I suspected but have been curious for a while. Joining this forum just saved me 40 bucks!

Dissipator bars worth it?

Just wondering what peoples experiences are with dissipator bars. Excal says they reduce noise by 8 decibles but can you really notice it? I have an old 165lb exocet shooting 280ish and have thought about adding them. But I dont want to spend $40, add weight to the front of my bow and be dissapointe...
