I have one of the original rope cockers when they first came out. The hooks were made of aluminum and were heavy duty with the same brass pulleys as the new ones. The handles were lawnmower pull handles and said Briggs and Stratton! This is something that Excal seems to have reduced the quality of.

Cant help you but would love to try them myself. Very mixed reviews, people love them or hate them. Last year before there was a Cross Bow Rage all their stuff kept saying they were fine for CBs. Now they have a CB version but I cant find anything definitive about the difference. More questions than...

How to keep deer meat in warm weather?
Want to go hunting but with the long weekend and the weather so warm, how do you guys keep your meat until you get to the butcher? I have never got one this early and its usually colder so you have a bit of time. Around gun season there is more guys set up for this. Don't have the place or ambition ...

Update: The biggest difference that jumps out is the dial to turn on the scopes. In the center, left side on the Shadow zone. Rear side on the right on the Lumi. I think I find the location much more natural and requires less movement on the Lumi. I only turn It on when I see a deer. Slightly more l...

Also what is the advantage of having red and green on the Shadow zone as opposed to just red on the Lumi?
