Re: Indiana going for full inclusion...again!

In VA the crossbow license and archery license are separate. You are required to buy one or the other depending on the weapon of choice. Crossbows are allowed in early/late archery seasons. If you decide to use a crossbow during modern rifle season then the crossbow license is not required. FYI 8)

Ibex ??

After putting my new Ibex together(the bow came already strung), when I attached the limbs section to the frame the string rode high on the rail after bolting it in. In other words the string is tight on the rail, is this normal?

Re: late season hunting

Your lucky to get to hunt this late in the season. VA big game seasons are done except the archery municiple season til March (doe only) Good luck!! 8)

Re: Very Green Newbie

Welcome one newbie to another  I just put my Ibex together and practiced cocking and uncocking, not bad with the cocking aid.
I did alot of research also which is reason I ended up here.

Re: Just noticed

I will give the excalibur rings a try, not fond of aluminum rings made in China no less...I have a backup set of Warne medium rings that came off a Encore I sold a year ago that will work if these don't. I forgot to order some wax and still need a target, but there are some archery shops around here...

Re: Just noticed

Called Danny today and he said the lite stuff package comes with the one single screw on the scope rings (2/ring) which will work fine. Also ordered a stringing aid, padded case,T handle and cheek piece.

Good thing I have a good part time job!!

Just noticed

the lite stuff package scope rings have only one screw on each side. I would have preferred two on each side. Are there any issues with this setup for my Ibex or am I just paranoid??

8) Good eating there for sure. Any deer taken this time of year is a good one. I put #4 in the freezer today, button buck same size as your doe, taken with White muzzleloader.

Congrats on a fine kill and story!! I've been huntin deer over 45 years and still get the shakes after killin one. If that ever stops I'll stop huntin them.
Looks like I'm gonna have to get some of those grimreapers too!!
Hopefully next season I can get the Ibex bloody. 8)

Video?

Looked at the video in the Ibex package the other night and saw where you can string the bow without using a stringing aid. If you haven't seen the video its an older Exocet (if memory serves me) and the guy strung it with by placing bow facing the ground and pulling up one side till the string went...
