I have last year's axiom with an aluminum rail. When did Excalibur go to a plastic rail? I just recommended this to a friend who then bought one. Don't know if he got aluminum or plastic. P.S. Both were shooting the approximate same point of impact as field tips but the x-act were dead on.

Just tried both spitfire xp's and x-act today. X-act's group size was half that of the spitfires. I can only assume that the small portion of the spitfires blades exposed are curved which causes the arrow to spin more but also causes a loss of accuracy. This may be nonsense but nonetheless the x-act...

P.S. Maybe I'm stating the obvious. But, why mess with Excalibur's recommendations. I know some people have to tinker. I don't have time to tinker too much. Get firebolts and boltcutters or xacts and quit wasting time and go hunt.

After shooting recently and trying several broadheads including the Muzzy MX-4 my suggestion is quit doubting Excalibur and go with their recommendations i.e. either the 150 gr. boltcutter or 100 gr x-act. I got horrible results with several others.
