I would like to try them, supposed to be pretty tough broadheads. They claim to have had no complaints of deflection off a shoulder bone, but thats coming from the company.

Has anyone tried these? Or the whitetail special?

I actually just re-registered in school today(welding) , im only 23 but got a kid and wife, trying to look after their future.

you got that anorexic deer thing right !!! ours are the same... we hada kid get a 11 point (combined points for all who are wondering) we count them all :) anaway, its weight was 126lbs !!! i think that was only rack and bones... he was healthy too but his size was just stunted. maybe he was smoke'...

Yeah the only thing is 2'' cutting diameter is a little much unless you have a really heavy bolt, you're within 20 yards, or you are hunting the anorexic deer Florida has to offer

I have a vortex with firebolts and Rage 2 125 grain, deadly accurate and nothing makes a blood trail like a rage 2 blade.

I wish we could hunt bear in Florida , we have a BUNCH of them(almost hit two of them 2 months apart on the way to work). But good luck to you!

In Florida they have the stand your own ground law where you can use lethal force anywhere you are.

Gorrila tree stands are specifically made for us bigger fellows, price not too bad either.

So how did those rage's shoot?

I think that an arrow is alot thinner than a bolt and wouldn't sit in the groove properly, but I've also never thought about it.
