No crossbows allowed up there apparently. According to Gov. Quebec website, "In Zones 22 and 23, hunting with a bow or firearm is permitted, whereas hunting with a crossbow is prohibited for all hunting. " Too bad, Maple We were hunting area 22...saw 2 crossbow hunters...1 with an excal..temps. wer...

I (we) have taken several Deer, Bear and wild boar with the vixen, and it's bigger brothers using bolts 400grs. plus..99% of the time was a complete pass thru, the furthest shoot being 40yds with a 165lb exocet doing about 285fps...hope this helps...just remember shot placement is the key to any hun...
