Fletching with the Arizona EZ Fletch

Being new to Xbows but an old vertical bow shooter I had to jump right in and start fletching my own arrows again. In the past I had fletched dozens of regular arrows using a Martin jig and they had always turned out great. Thanks to you I made an adapter so I could use the old Martin and I fletched...

Re: New Vortex is on the way...It's here!

My new Vortex got here late yesterday. It's a great looking piece of equipment. Took my time assembling the parts which was very easy and mounted the scope. I can't believe how good the fit and finish is. I had a pallet of new cardboard boxes in the warehouse to use as the backstop. It kinda reminde...

Re: New Vortex is on the way

Thanks VM. I've read where you shoot aluminum arrows. Do you like them as good as the carbon?

Re: New Vortex is on the way

Houser52: Had similar experience, settled a Phoenix (Ibex with traditional stock) but ended up with Exocet 200 (Vortex with traditional stock) because I might need additional power. If you use 2117 shafts, the GT Laser II inserts and nocks will work. You can order direct from GT and they ship quick...

Re: New Vortex is on the way

Congrats on your new vortex i'm sure you'll love it. I'm new here here also but have been bow hunting(verticle) for 31 years. I too am an aluminun arrow fan.Don't really care if they're as fast as carbon or as durable. I just have had too many bad experiences with carbon. Not saying they are'nt goo...

New Vortex is on the way...It's here!

Thanks to everybody for all the great information on this site. Started out not really sure of what I wanted and narrowed it down to the Ibex. Then I got to thinking maybe just a little more power would be better so I ordered the Vortex instead. Got the Lite stuff package along with some other basic...

Re: Handling a cocked Xbow question

Thanks for all the info and opinions on the Excalibur safety. I had already done some reading on another good xbow forum before I found this one. Matter of fact I see some of the sames guys on here. For a soon to be xbow newbie there's a lot of good info on both forums. All of that good info is what...

Handling a cocked Xbow question

I am still doing some research on xbows and their use before I order my new Excaliber. Before I ask my questions, I'm a hunter and former competitive pistol shooter. I know not to EVER trust a safety and always keep the business end of a weapon pointed in a safe direction. With that said... While wa...
